1. What age group is Beginner Ballet for?

Our Beginner Ballet program is designed specifically for children ages 4–8. This age range is ideal because children are developing coordination, balance, and listening skills, and ballet provides a fun and structured way to support those milestones. Students above the age of 8 are encouraged to join the K-Pop Kids Program. 

2. Does my child need any prior dance experience?

Not at all! Beginner Ballet is created for children who are completely new to dance. Our teachers gently introduce ballet basics like posture, balance, and simple steps, through games, music, and fun exercises. Kids who already love to move will quickly feel right at home, while shy beginners gain confidence at their own pace.

3. What should my child wear to class?

We recommend a simple leotard, ballet slippers, and tights. A ballet skirt or tutu is optional but always welcome. For young beginners, comfort is most important, so clothing that allows easy movement is perfectly fine. Ballet slippers (not street shoes) are encouraged to help students learn proper technique and move safely on the dance floor.

4. How long are the classes, and how often do they meet?

Beginner Ballet classes are typically 45–50 minutes long, the perfect length for young attention spans. Classes are offered once a week, and we have several scheduling options—including afternoons, evenings, and weekends—to fit busy family schedules.

Students will learn the fundamentals of ballet, including posture, balance, coordination, and basic positions of the feet and arms. Parents are welcome to sit in and observe the very first class, but after that we encourage children to participate independently.
